As a seasoned survivor of countless nights in the Foggy Woods, I can’t help but feel my heart race at the news of these exciting expansions for Dead by Daylight: The Board Game! Having played the digital version for years and attended numerous real-life game nights, I’ve become intimately acquainted with the characters and their quirks.
For the initial time since its launch, the tabletop version of Dead by Daylight is receiving significant expansions. These additions are named Unbroken, Gatekeeper, and Malicious, while the fourth one is a Deluxe Upgrade Package.
Originally part of the Kickstarter Collector’s Edition, three additional packs – Unbroken, Gatekeeper, and the Upgrade Kit – were previously unveiled in the game. The Unbroken expansion introduces five new characters, namely Oni, Deathslinger, Yui, Felix, while Gatekeeper brings another set of five, including Huntress, Legion, Kate, and David.

Instead of introducing fresh characters, the Premium Enhancement Pack includes extra items like mini hooks, generators, exclusive Bloodpoint tokens, and a brand-new gameboard featuring multiple unique locations such as Crotus Prenn and Ormond.
Initially, items such as Unbroken, Gatekeeper, and the Upgrade Kit were obtained through the game’s Collector’s Edition on Kickstarter. However, the Malicious expansion offers fresh content exclusively. It includes four new characters for survivors: Jonah, Haddie, Mikaela, and Vittorio, along with three new killers: Dredge, Artist, and Knight. Furthermore, it provides two new realms for both survivors and killers to discover: Forsaken Boneyard and the Withered Isle.
