As a gamer with a soft spot for movies that blend adventure, comedy, and heartwarming storytelling, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of “Paddington in Peru”. Seven years have passed since Paddington 2 left us yearning for more bear-filled escapades.
Seven years have passed since Paddington 2 captivated viewers and boasted a flawless 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, we’re excited about the upcoming trailer for Paddington in Peru. However, what was supposed to be a straightforward family reunion with his aunt Lucy for Paddington, soon transforms into an adventure involving his human family, the Browns.
Despite knowing that Paddington and the Browns were coming to visit, Aunt Lucy has mysteriously left her retirement home for bears. The two humans who know where she is seem less than reliable. Hunter Cabot (played by Antonio Banderas) appears friendly and helpful to the Brown family, even hinting that their search for Lucy might lead them to El Dorado, a legendary lost city of gold. However, Hunter’s suspicious actions towards Paddington in the movie trailer indicate that he may eventually betray them.
While the character portrayed by Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman, who is depicted as a Reverend Mother, seems to have her own secret motives. She appears to be more tech-savvy than one might expect from a simple nun, possessing advanced tracking devices. Furthermore, she’s not someone to be underestimated or left out of the action. As for the numerous dancing nuns in the trailer, we aren’t prepared to speculate about that just yet.
Ben Whishaw once again lends his voice to Paddington Brown, with Imelda Staunton providing the voice for Aunt Lucy in the upcoming movie. Joining them are Hugh Bonneville, who plays Henry Brown, along with The Mandalorian’s Emily Mortimer as Mary Brown, Madeleine Harris as Judy Brown, Samuel Joslin as Jonathan Brown, and Jim Broadbent as Samuel Gruber.
In the UK, moviegoers can catch Paddington on theater screens starting from November 8. However, fans in the US will need to be patient until they can watch it on January 17, 2025.
