My Hero Academia creator “cried” while drawing one crucial scene

As a gamer who’s been following My Hero Academia since its inception, I must say that Season 7 has truly outdone itself. The emotional depth and stunning animation of Episode 19 left me in awe. The scene where Rei Todoroki cooled her son down and apologized to Dabi was particularly poignant, and it’s not every day you see a creator crying while drawing a scene.

The final episodes of Season 7 of My Hero Academia are approaching, with Episode 19 stirring strong emotions in fans and even bringing artist Kohei Horikoshi to tears as he illustrated a particularly significant scene.

In a touching turn of events, Episode 19 from My Hero Academia Season 7 ranks among the series’ most heartwarming episodes. Not only does it boast stunning visuals, but it also showcases Dabi halting his destructive spree. On the brink of explosion due to overheating, Dabi received timely aid from the Todoroki family.

In a different wording: Rei Todoroki employs her special ability to regulate her son’s temperature, keeping him cool. Despite her pleas for him to halt, the antagonist disregards her. At this moment, Shoto makes an appearance on the scene and overpowers his older sibling. Noteworthy is that it was Iida who enabled Shoto to get there.

In this installment, the plucky protagonists spur one another on to embody the heroic figures they’ve long aspired to become. Additionally, this storyline brings Iida’s character arc full circle, as he remains steadfast in upholding his values.

As a devoted fan, I excitedly share that the creator of My Hero Academia recently posted on Twitter: “I’m thrilled to announce that today’s episode of My Hero Academia is now available for streaming! While sketching Iida’s conclusion, I found myself tearing up. It was an emotional and rewarding experience to be able to bring this moment to life!

Supporters shower the author with admiration and kind words when responding to his post. They also recognize the stunning adaptation of the anime in Season 7, Episode 19.

“Yesterday’s My Hero Academia was a masterpiece! I was moved by Endeavor’s efforts to confront his sins and the Todoroki family’s love for one another. In big battles, each event can become quite chaotic, but I was really impressed by how the events were carefully outlined in an easy-to-understand way,” writes one fan.

Another says, “Yesterday’s broadcast of My Hero Academia was very moving! Iida’s conclusion scene was especially memorable. I heard that the animation was wonderful, and I could really feel the emotion. It’s wonderful that you feel so attached to it that you cry while drawing!”
