Amazon’s Prime Video is broadening the world of “Reacher” by greenlighting a spinoff series titled “The Untitled Neagley Project,” featuring Maria Sten in the lead role.
Titled “The Neagley Project,” this series revolves around Frances Neagley, a private investigator within Jack Reacher’s network. The plot unfolds as she is drawn into a quest for justice when she learns that an old friend has met an untimely death in a questionable accident. Employing the skills she’s honed from her association with Jack Reacher and her experiences as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley embarks on a potentially hazardous journey to expose a chilling malevolence lurking in the shadows.
Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, unveiled news at the Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers event held in London on Tuesday. The “Reacher” series creator Nick Santora is teaming up with “Law & Order” writer Nicholas Wootton to develop “The Untitled Neagley Project.” In this new venture, they will jointly serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios are producing the show, but a release date has yet to be announced. Once it’s ready, “The Untitled Neagley Project” will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries worldwide.
Given how deeply ‘Reacher’ has touched our worldwide audience, it was a straightforward choice for us to extend its narrative and characters through a spinoff,” said Vernon Sanders, the head of Amazon MGM Studios. “Working with Nick and Nicholas, along with partners Skydance and CBS Studios, we believe this next phase featuring Maria Sten will not only preserve the ‘Reacher’ tradition but also introduce fresh vitality and thrill for both new and established fans.
The popular Prime Video show “Reacher,” featuring Alan Ritchson, is adapted from the Jack Reacher book series penned by Lee Child. This series has proven to be a huge success for Prime Video and they are now working on Season 3.
Lee Child has crafted an exceptionally deep character in Neagley, and Maria Sten wonderfully breathes life into her in ‘Reacher’. Amazon, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios have been fantastic collaborators from the beginning, and we are thrilled to delve deeper into Neagley’s story and uncover what sets her apart.

In addition to Santora and Wootton, the show is supervised by Child, Don Granger, and Lisa Kussner as executive producers. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell from Skydance Television are also involved in its production. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez will manage the project for Skydance Television.
