An Arizona woman who loves the show Love Island was pulled over and arrested for driving 108 miles per hour. She told police she was hurrying home to catch an episode of the reality series.
On June 9th, a driver was stopped by the Arizona Department of Public Safety on AZ-347 in Pinal County for speeding. They were traveling 108 mph in an area with a 65 mph speed limit.
According to reports, the woman told the officer who pulled her over that she was rushing home to catch an episode of Love Island.
Her explanation didn’t save her from consequences. The driver was arrested and charged with speeding and dangerous driving.
Her car was impounded for twenty days, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety playfully referred to it as being sent to “car jail.”
Love Island fan misses show after speeding arrest
Authorities didn’t share the driver’s name or explain what she was investigating.

Love Island USA streams on Peacock and is now a huge hit online. New episodes often create lively conversations and immediate reactions on platforms like TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
However, this fan’s attempt to avoid spoilers ended with her missing the episode entirely.
Following the incident, police cautioned drivers that speeding is dangerous and has severe repercussions, no matter how urgent the situation – even if it’s to catch up on a favorite reality show.
Police recorded this incident as part of a larger number of speeding violations. One driver explained they were coming from church and didn’t realize how fast they were going.
