Daybreak Game Company and Game Jawn have announced that EverQuest Legends will be released on PC on July 28th. The game will cost $19.99, and players can also choose to subscribe online. If you pre-order, you’ll get access to a beta test running from July 1st to July 21st.
Announced earlier this year, EverQuest Legends is a fresh take on the classic game EverQuest. It’s designed to be more accessible with improvements to make playing alone or casually easier. Players can now choose three classes for each character and upgrade their gear with new systems.
We met up with the EverQuest Legends developers at Summer Game Fest after getting an early look at the game back at GDC.

Exciting news for fans of classic online games! Daybreak Game Company and Game Jawn are releasing EverQuest Legends, a fresh take on the beloved MMORPG, on July 28th. You can pre-order the game now at EverQuestLegends.com. If you pre-order, you’ll get early access to a beta test from July 1st to July 21st, plus the chance to secure your preferred character name and earn the special in-game title, “The Legend.”
EverQuest Legends is built for players who enjoy playing alone or in small groups, but still allows for larger raids with up to eight people. It offers new features like combining classes, upgrading equipment, and customizing characters with unique abilities, making it easier to overcome any obstacle.
As a long-time EverQuest fan, I’m so excited about EverQuest Legends! It’s bringing back everything I loved about the game from 1999 – the art style, the graphics, even the music. We’ll be able to explore Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus again, playing as any of the original races. They’re saying there will be some new stuff for both old players like me and anyone just discovering EverQuest for the first time! Basically, it’s a chance to relive the magic of the early days of EQ but with improvements for today’s gaming.
EverQuest Legends costs $19.99 to get started, which includes your first month of play. If you pre-order, your subscription will begin when the game launches. After that initial month, a $9.99 monthly fee will automatically renew unless you cancel. EverQuest Legends is constantly updated with new content like downloadable content and expansions. You can easily manage and cancel your subscription online whenever you wish.
