Jujutsu Kaisen finale paves way for this beloved manga’s return

As a die-hard fan who’s followed both Jujutsu Kaisen and Hunter x Hunter since their inceptions, I must say that this week is truly a rollercoaster of emotions. On one hand, I’m heartbroken to see the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen after four long years of anticipation, but on the other, the return of Hunter x Hunter fills me with an indescribable joy.

With the grand finale of Jujutsu Kaisen bringing its captivating tale to a close, Shonen Jump is eagerly gearing up for the comeback of yet another cherished manga series.

The finale of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has sparked quite a bit of debate among readers. The abrupt reveal and swift resolution have left fans feeling let down. In Chapter 271, the story concludes with an ambiguous scene showing Sukuna’s finger being sealed away.

Jujutsu Kaisen started being published in 2018, but it truly skyrocketed to fame following its anime debut in 2020. In the final story arc, Shinjuku Showdown, our sorcerers engage in intense battles against the primary antagonists. The fight against the King of Curses was particularly grueling and prolonged.

The final installment of Jujutsu Kaisen offers a fitting end for Sukuna. Readers can look forward to it on September 29, 2024, through the Manga Plus app. But, starting from the following week, Hunter X Hunter will step back into its spot in Weekly Shonen Jump, taking over where Jujutsu Kaisen left off.

This week marks the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, wrapping up its storyline, followed closely by the return of HUNTERxHUNTER in the next issue! Additionally, we have two exciting one-shots on the horizon: “Hima-Ten!” and ‘Policeman Yokai Hunter’ by YoshidaB6, both featuring color pages.

Originating from the pen of Yoshihiro Togashi, this manga is one of the timeless Shonen masterpieces hailing from the ’90s. Unfortunately, the series has been frequently interrupted by extended breaks, a result of the creator’s ongoing health issues.

On December 25th, 2022, the most recent Chapter 400 was published. At present, we’re smack dab in the heart of the Succession Battle Storyline, where we were introduced to the 14 princes hailing from the Kakin Empire.

In a brutal confrontation aboard the ominous Black Whale, characters are predicted to perish one by one as it journeys towards the mysterious Dark Continent. The story resumes in Chapter 401, set to be published on October 6, 2024. So far, the manga artist has produced at least 16 chapters and regularly shares sneak peeks on Twitter/X.
