Jujutsu Kaisen finale reunites Sukuna with his most loyal ally

As a long-time fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I must say that the finale has been quite the rollercoaster ride, but it was Sukuna’s reunion with Uraume that truly stole the show for me. The scene where they walked down the path together, with Sukuna comforting his teary-eyed ally, moved me to my core and elevated the finale from a 5/10 to a solid 9/10 in my books.

We get a glimpse of Sukuna for one last time in the Jujutsu Kaisen finale, where he reunites with his most loyal ally: Uraume.

With great excitement built up, the conclusion to Jujutsu Kaisen has arrived. Yet, the response from fans is underwhelmed, for many main characters and multiple storylines seem to lack proper resolution in the last installment.

Readers generally find that the standout aspect of the finale is Sukuna’s appearance. In Chapter 271, the King of Curses encounters Mahito within a void. It’s revealed that Mahito’s ability to influence souls is responsible for this encounter.

As a dedicated fan, I found myself engrossed in their intriguing dialogue concerning Sukuna’s true intentions. Rather than providing clear-cut solutions, it only served to deepen the mystery. Yet, what captivated me most was when the antagonist revealed he had two distinct paths before him in life.

In this scenario, we find Sukuna facing away from two individuals, both with their backs turned towards him. One of them is a mystery woman, and the other is a child sporting white hair. Later on, it transpires that this child is Uraume, the one Sukuna eventually decides to accompany.

this moved me to my core i can’t even lie sukuna ending went from 5/10 to 9/10 #JJK271

While soothing a distressed Uraume, the Curse’s Monarch muses about the possibility of selecting a new course if given another opportunity, despite seeming completely satisfied as he departs, leaving Mahito behind and accompanied by Uraume instead.

In this particular scene, readers found a strong connection because it not only provided insight into Sukuna’s complex personality but also showcased his more compassionate qualities, which are typically associated with the protagonist rather than the antagonist.

A reader on X shared: “Learning about Sukuna and Uraume’s bond being closer to a father-child dynamic really brightened up my entire week.

Another person was deeply touched by the scene where Uraume was weeping and Sukuna was offering comfort, gently patting their shoulder as they strolled along a path side by side.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve always seen the bond between Sukuna and Uraume as that of a master and apprentice. This isn’t just about respect; Uraume’s devotion suggests something deeper. In this depiction where they both appear almost childlike, while Sukuna takes on a protective role, it gives the impression that perhaps Sukuna was there to safeguard Uraume at their most vulnerable moments.
