Amazon is making a TV series based on Rebecca Yarros’s novel, Fourth Wing. While the cast hasn’t been announced yet, fans are already discussing who they’d like to see play the different characters. One actor who’s frequently mentioned by fans has heard about the buzz, and says landing the role would be a dream for him.
Xaden Riorson is a key character in the Empyrian series, and the main love interest for the protagonist, Violet Sorrengail. He’s a talented fighter and highly regarded dragon rider at Basgiath War College, bonded with the powerful dragon Sgaeyl, which has made him a fan favorite. Many fans believe Avan Jogia (known for Backrooms) would be perfect for the role, and the actor has acknowledged the fancasting online.
Many Fourth Wing Fans Want Avan Jogia as Xaden Riorson
There’s always something fascinating to find in any subject, and I’m particularly drawn to fantasy. As a kid dreaming of becoming an actor, I always hoped I’d get to be part of a fantasy project. Seeing The Lord of the Rings really sparked that desire. I’ve been a huge fan ever since, and I’ve spent countless hours immersed in fantasy worlds through video games – easily tens of thousands of hours of my life!
He’d love to act in a movie or TV show with fantasy themes, especially something involving pirates. That’s really what motivates him as an actor – to recapture the joy of his childhood by playing characters in imaginative worlds. The idea of dragons and a fantastical setting sounds perfect to him.
Amazon’s Fourth Wing Cast Members Have Not Yet Been Announced
Given the fantasy aspects of Fourth Wing, it’s likely that Jogia would be a strong candidate for a role in the upcoming Amazon series. Whether he’ll actually be offered a part remains to be seen. The series, which has been in development for three years, was officially greenlit by Prime Video in May. Michael B. Jordan, an executive producer, has hinted that the team is working to create a visually impressive world and deliver a series that fans will love.
Author Rebecca Yarros explained that the adaptation team truly understands what the story means to its readers, and that’s why she has complete faith in them. She suggested the adaptation will stay true to the original book.
Ariana Grande’s brother, Frankie Jogia, first became well-known for his appearances on television shows like Victorious, Ghost Wars, and Now Apocalypse. He later took on the iconic role of Leon S. Kennedy in the 2021 film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Most recently, Jogia starred as Naren Warne in the new horror film Backrooms.
Amazon has not yet set a streaming premiere date for the Fourth Wing series.
