Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams might be featured on the cover of the next Madden NFL video game, Madden 27. Leaked screenshots suggest he’s been chosen as the cover athlete, which would put him among a select group of NFL stars.
Several websites have shared pictures of the MVP+ Membership package, which comes with the deluxe versions of both EA Sports’ Madden 27 and College Football 27. The pictures show the game covers, and Caleb Williams is featured on the cover of Madden 27.

Right now, the idea of Williams being on the cover is just speculation. However, Bears fans shouldn’t have to wait much longer for EA Sports to confirm or deny it.
The cover of Madden 27 will be officially revealed on June 4th during EA Sports’ “Opening Drive” event. This reveal happens right before Summer Game Fest 2026 begins.
If Williams is chosen for the Madden cover, he’ll be just the twelfth quarterback in the game’s history to appear on it.
Bears fans might be a little concerned about something called the “Madden Curse.” It’s a long-standing observation that players featured on the cover of the Madden NFL video game often have a disappointing season. A recent example is Christian McCaffrey, who was on the cover of Madden 25 before the 2024 season and ended up with limited playing time, rushing for only 202 yards and scoring no touchdowns.
Even so, fans are likely thrilled at the chance of seeing Williams on the cover of this year’s Madden game.
