YouTuber Xing’s World recently unveiled a new addition to his elaborate cat habitat: a tiny, fully-functional basketball arena. He previously gained attention for building a miniature subway system for his cats.
Xing Zhilei, known online as Xing, creates incredibly detailed miniature worlds for animals. He’s famous for his “Cat Town” series, which features everything from cozy homes and supermarkets to a pool hall and even a fully functional subway system, turning the imaginary cat city into a complete urban environment.
Xing recently shared a video on YouTube asking if cats can play basketball. He explained that he spent over three months creating a miniature basketball court for his cats, letting them try out the sport in their own special arena.
I was so excited to see Xing’s video! He just finished building a brand new basketball arena for the pets at Cat Town – it took him three months! Apparently, he made it perfectly sized for them to play their own version of the game. It’s amazing – they can finally enjoy basketball too!
Xing builds full basketball arena for Cat Town
The arena is Cat Town’s most impressive addition so far. Xing painstakingly built it, even gluing down each floorboard and crafting over 3,000 tiny bleacher seats – a project he completed on his own in over a month.
He also installed an AC unit to help control the temperature inside the larger space.
The video features Xing and Mr. Nice, a frequent visitor to Cat Town, acting out basketball moments from the popular anime Slam Dunk. Xing playfully suggests Mr. Nice might be a bit of a ‘choker’ after he misses a shot.
The update didn’t just showcase the new basketball arena for Cat Town. Xing also shared that the Cat Town Hotel was finished, playfully suggesting it could be called the “Meow-rriott” in English.
The hotel features a lobby, a front desk, and an elevator. Each room is comfortably furnished and includes a king-size bed. Xing designed the rooms to feel authentic, even including a bathroom window like you’d find in a traditional hotel, but with smart glass that provides privacy when needed.
Xing recently shared that his Cat Town project has grown significantly. What started as a hobby building tiny houses for pets has become a complete, life-sized city for cats, complete with transportation, shops, and now even sports arenas. He spent two years bringing this vision to life.
Xing finished the video by pointing out that there’s plenty of room left in Cat Town and asking his audience for suggestions on what to create next.
