Sci-fi fantasy RPG Gravastar announced for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC

Studio Atma revealed their new sci-fi fantasy role-playing game, Gravastar, which is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Okay, so I just saw the announcement for Gravastar, and it looks seriously cool! It’s a turn-based battle system, but it’s super fast-paced and feels like a 2D fighting game – think arcade style! Studio Atma dropped a trailer, and Gematsu gave me the heads-up. If you want to check it out, the official website has the trailer, some old soundtrack samples, the announcement details, and a bunch of screenshots. I’m definitely keeping an eye on this one!

About

Gravastar is a science-fiction RPG for computers and consoles that feels like a classic Japanese role-playing game but with a modern twist. Its battles are fast-paced and exciting, combining turn-based strategy with the quick reflexes of arcade fighting games. Instead of simply selecting attacks, you’ll input commands to create powerful combos and chains, letting you defeat enemies in a dynamic and engaging way.

Story

You’re Baird, a young orphan living on the distant planet Aethera. Your life changes forever when you unexpectedly unlock incredible powers – you’re a Spectre, a being connected to the stars! Now, you must embark on a journey to master these abilities, team up with allies, and protect Aethera from a dangerous extremist who threatens to engulf the universe in darkness. This is your chance to discover who you truly are and fulfill your destiny.
