Pokemon fans traveling to San Francisco for the 2026 World Championships have a special treat in store: the San Francisco Giants are hosting a baseball event, and attendees will receive an exclusive Pikachu jersey!
The event will be held on August 27th, just before the 2026 Pokemon World Championships kick off in San Francisco.
The Giants’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks will be part of a city-wide celebration of Worlds weekend and all the Pokemon events happening around it.

The main highlight is a special jersey made for the Pokemon World Championships, combining the San Francisco Giants with Pokemon. It features Pikachu on the back and a design inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge.
The special jerseys are no longer available, as the ticket package that included them has sold out. But you can still come to the themed game night – regular game tickets are still available!
Pikachu will be a special guest at the game and will playfully help throw the first pitch.
Pokemon Go fans will find lots to do at the event! Oracle Park will have special Pokemon Go locations – PokeStops and Gyms – decorated with Giants themes throughout the stadium. Players can battle in Raid Battles and explore designated routes within the park.
Collectors will be excited about a special Pikachu that appears with a background inspired by Oracle Park. Plus, spinning PokeStops at the stadium will give players a unique Giants-themed item to customize their avatar.
After the game, a special drone show will kick off Worlds weekend, happening August 28-30 in San Francisco. The weekend features both the official World Championships and a larger Pokémon fan event called PokémonXP.
This isn’t the first time baseball and anime/video games have joined forces. Earlier in March, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced a Yoshi bobblehead featuring their pitcher, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and the famous Nintendo character.
