Meta Quest 3S Launch Bundle Includes Batman: Arkham Shadow And 6 More Games For $300

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of immersive gaming under my belt, I must say that the Meta Quest 3S launch bundle is a tantalizing proposition. The inclusion of Batman: Arkham Shadow, an exclusive title for the Quest 3S, adds an extra layer of allure to this already budget-friendly headset.

Starting from now until April 30, 2025 (while supplies last), the recently unveiled Meta Quest 3S comes with a captivating launch package that enhances its already affordable value. This offer includes Batman: Arkham Shadow, an exclusive action game for the Quest 3 series, which features Batman battling the Rat King. The Quest 3S is available in two storage options: a 128GB model for $300 and a 256GB version for $400. Pre-orders are currently being accepted at various prominent retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy.

At the Meta Connect 2024 event, the enhanced version of the Quest 3, known as the Quest 3S, was unveiled. Similar to the standard Quest 3, it employs the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset and boasts 8GB of RAM. Just like the Quest 3, the 3S model comes with a pair of Touch Pro controllers that offer gesture control for menu navigation. Meta claims that battery life is slightly improved in the Quest 3S, offering an average playtime between charges of approximately 2.5 hours, compared to the standard Quest 3’s 2-hour playtime.

The Quest 3S, in terms of cost reduction, focuses on the lenses. Compared to the Meta Quest 2 which uses fresnel lenses with a resolution of 1832 x 1920, the Quest 3S comes equipped with these same types of lenses. On the other hand, the more expensive Meta Quest 3 boasts pancake lenses with a higher resolution of 2064 x 2208 for better clarity and sharpness. Furthermore, in contrast to the Quest 3S, the Quest 3 drops the depth sensor and offers a narrower field of view.
