At the close of Deli Boys season 2, Raj and Mir achieve a major win, but a looming new threat hints at future challenges. Surprisingly, business is thriving for the pair as the season begins, and they’ve finally paid off their debts. Now, as co-chiefs, they’re making good money, but they still need to figure out how to legitimize it.

Dark DarCo clearly didn’t earn their wealth from a small deli, so they need to find a legitimate business to hide their money. They target Max Sugar, a wealthy casino owner, who becomes fascinated with Lucky. However, trusting Max proves to be a mistake, as he quickly betrays Lucky when pressured by Andrew Chadwater, a District Attorney running for mayor.

I’m completely hooked on Deli Boys! It’s so clever how Max feeding info to Chadwater is going to bring DarCo down – it feels inevitable. But Lucky is amazing – she’s already plotting to take out both her rivals at once! I honestly didn’t see the Dars taking a hostage coming, or turning Chadwater’s own operation against him. And using Max as a fall guy? Brilliant, if a little ruthless. They really seemed to get away with it, which felt like a huge win for the Saabs and Lucky. But I have a feeling that victory won’t last long, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Mir and Raj are feeling secure when a strange package arrives: a pie accompanied by a threatening note. It reads, “Congrats on your recent success. Now I’m coming for my piece of the pie. From the eldest Dar.” The mystery deepens when Matthew (Jake Prizant) suddenly collapses and dies after eating the pie. It seems the Dar family has a new rival in season 3 of Deli Boys, and the evidence suggests this enemy is their own older sibling.

Lucky’s Reaction Suggests Raj & Mir Really Do Have A Secret Older Sibling

Raj and Mir were puzzled by the note at the end of Deli Boys season 2 and didn’t immediately recognize its importance. However, Lucky instantly knew who sent the pie. When she heard the name “the eldest Dar,” she panicked and warned Matthew not to eat it. As season 3 begins, Lucky will need to explain what she knows.

Okay, so the film strongly hints that Baba Dar had a child before Raj, and it feels right that Lucky Auntie would be the one who knows about it. But the big question is: where has this older sibling of Mir and Raj been hiding all this time? We see how spoiled and loved Baba’s two sons were, and how fiercely protective Lucky still is of them. It just doesn’t add up why another Dar child would be kept secret and treated so differently – it’s a mystery the movie really needs to unpack.

It doesn’t matter why Mir and Raj have a secret sibling, but it’s clear this new villain is a serious threat. Lucky instantly recognized the pie was poisoned when she saw who sent it. If this new character, who seems to be called Deli Boys, is angry about Mir and Raj’s success, the Dars could lose everything they’ve built. This is especially frustrating after all the hard work Mir, Raj, and Lucky put in during season 2 of Deli Boys to establish and expand their business.

The Dars’ Takedown Of Andrew Chadwater & Max Sugar Explained

A major highlight of the Deli Boys season 2 finale was the characters successfully bringing down both Max Sugar and Andrew Chadwater. Lucky came up with the plan, inspired by Raj’s weed and a frustrated outburst. It started with kidnapping Max’s daughter, Seven, to force his cooperation. Lucky then convinced Max to have Chadwater intercept the Dars while they were delivering drug money to the casino. The Dars then used damaging information to implicate the Philadelphia District Attorney.

While working for Chadwater, Matthew discovered evidence that the mayoral candidate had committed a crime during his most celebrated case – the arrest of Joey Tomatoes. Chadwater actually framed Tomatoes by planting a gun in his car. Mir, Raj, and Lucky realized they could expose Chadwater simply by hinting he wasn’t responsible for Tomatoes’ arrest, and the District Attorney immediately confessed. They had captured the whole conversation on a hidden camera, giving them complete control over Chadwater.

This set the next part of Lucky’s plan in motion. The Dars concealed cocaine inside the money they brought to the casino and offered a deal to Chadwater: they’d stay silent about his misdeeds if he arrested Max on drug charges instead of them. It was a perfect arrangement, as Chadwater was eager to arrest a major drug dealer to boost his political campaign. With this single, well-executed scheme, Lucky successfully had Max imprisoned and gained a powerful ally who was likely to become Philadelphia’s next mayor.

DarCo’s Co-Chief Saabs Are In A Better Position Than Ever (With A Catch)

Even after Max was arrested in season 2 of Deli Boys, Lucky’s scheme continued. Max had given his lawyer, Danyal (Kumail Nanjiani), power of attorney, and Danyal was secretly in love with Lucky. Using this connection, and a bit of intimidation, Lucky persuaded Danyal to transfer ownership of Max’s casino and entire operation.

Throughout the second season of Deli Boys, Mir and Raj focused on achieving their father’s lifelong goal: buying a country club. They succeeded, and now the Dar family controls not only a thriving drug business but also their own casino and country club. This makes hiding their illegal profits much simpler, and DarCo is doing very well. However, this success puts Mir, Raj, and Lucky in a dangerous position, especially with the emergence of the “eldest Dar.” One thing is clear after the season’s dramatic ending: season 3 of Deli Boys is sure to be even more captivating.
