Luti Fagbenle Launches TV Production Company Osun Group, Taps ‘Supacell’ Producer Sheila Nortley as Drama Chief

As a movie enthusiast with a penchant for keeping up with the latest developments in the industry, I find myself thoroughly impressed by the recent moves made by Luti Fagbenle and Sheila Nortley. The launch of Osun Group and the appointment of Nortley as head of drama is undoubtedly a game-changer, especially considering her impressive portfolio which includes work on “Supacell” and “Stay Close.

Entrepreneur in the media industry and founder of Luti Media, Luti Fagbenle, has recently established a fresh television production company known as Osun Group. Notably, “Supacell” producer Sheila Nortley has been appointed as the head of drama and executive producer for this new venture.

Osun will concentrate on creating premium television content, offering a comprehensive production infrastructure supported by expert teams in various fields such as production management, finance, law, human resources, and IT. Additionally, Osun has the financial capability to fund development stages and secure production funding through multiple channels like venture capital, strong brand partnerships, and international collaborations.

Apart from recently renewed for a second season on Netflix’s popular superhero series, Nortley has been involved with adapting Harlan Coben’s novel “Stay Close.” Simultaneously, she will maintain her role as an independent producer in addition to this new assignment.

Fagbenle will persistently manage Luti Media, a company that has successfully created series such as “Maxxx” for Channel 4 and Hulu, “Blue Therapy” for E4, Amazon, and BET+. Moving forward, the emphasis will be on branded content and music videos.

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my dream for Osun is to create a nurturing environment where a multitude of talents can weave their unique narratives. We aim to equip them with the necessary resources and culturally sensitive guidance to bring their most daring visions to life. The remarkable Sheila, with her proven commitment to diverse storytelling, embodies this vision perfectly. Coming off the resounding success of ‘Supacell,’ it seems the universe has timed our paths to cross at just the right moment.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to express that this venture is all about unity and foresight. In an era where creativity seems to be shying away from risk-taking, the greatest danger lies in standing still. We’re ecstatic about elevating the norm by amplifying a myriad of narratives, voices, and viewpoints, and crafting exceptional television content.
