Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster Hits PS5 And PC In October

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning! Seven years is a blink of an eye in the vast world of video games, but it feels like an eternity since we last saw Aloy traverse the post-apocalyptic wilderness filled with mechanical beasts.

As a gamer, I’m pretty psyched about Horizon Zero Dawn. This seven-year-old open-world action-adventure game might just be the youngest to receive a “remastered” makeover! In October, I can expect an upgraded version for PlayStation 5 and PC. Can’t wait to explore this world again with improved visuals and possibly smoother gameplay!

During a recent State of Play broadcast, Sony revealed that they are releasing an enhanced edition of Horizon Zero Dawn titled “Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered.” The presentation showcased updates to the game’s visuals and other modifications set for the remake. As per the presentation, the remastered version will boast graphical enhancements to match the quality level of its upcoming sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, which is slated for release in 2022. You can view the trailer below.

In terms of graphics, Horizon Zero Dawn is set to offer fresh shaders, textures, enhanced character designs, and over ten hours of re-filmed motion capture for dialogues and conversations. This implies that the dialogue and conversation aspects in Zero Dawn will undergo substantial enhancements. Additionally, the game will be compatible with Sony’s DualSense controllers, taking advantage of their adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, as well as Sony’s advanced 3D audio technology.

The remastered edition of Horizon Zero Dawn is due out on Halloween (October 31). If you currently possess the initial Horizon Zero Dawn, you have the opportunity to upgrade to its PS5 counterpart at a cost of $10.
