As a seasoned movie-goer who’s seen more magical escapades than I can count on my fingers (and toes!), I must say that the trailer for “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” has me spellbound. The return of David Henrie as Justin Russo, coupled with the fresh faces of the new cast members, promises a delightful blend of nostalgia and novelty.

The trailer for Disney Channel’s “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” has been revealed.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be reprising my role as Justin Russo from the beloved series “Wizards of Waverly Place.” The new sequel series boasts an impressive cast including Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter, and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo. In the first episode, we’ll be graced by the presence of Selena Gomez reprising her role as Alex Russo, adding an extra layer of magic to our story!

The storyline is about Justin Russo, who’s all grown up and living an ordinary life with his family – Giada, Roman, and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie over for help, he finds himself needing to reactivate his magical abilities to guide this aspiring wizard, all while managing his daily tasks, and preserving the destiny of the Wizard World.

In the trailer, we find Henrie’s character Justin back at the Russo household, this time as a mentor for the budding sorcerer. However, the learning process gets bumpy from the get-go.

Henrie tells Brown in the trailer, ‘You have great magical abilities, and some view that as a cause for concern.’ However, I assure you, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.

Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas hold roles as both writers and executive producers. Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez, and Henrie are also listed as executive producers. Andy Fickman directed the pilot episode and has been appointed as an executive producer as well, set to direct several more episodes. The series “Wizards of Waverly Place” was conceived by Todd Greenwald.

The new series, ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’, makes its debut with a double episode airing October 29th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Disney Channel. The initial nine episodes will be accessible on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the following day.
