Kairosoft announced that their game, Skyship Quest Story, will be coming to PC via Steam on June 1st. This expands the game’s availability beyond its previous releases on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
Kairosoft is well-known for its pixel-art management and strategy games, but their latest title is being described as a Simulation RPG. It keeps the classic Kairosoft look and staff management, but adds a new feature: battles. These battles are handled automatically, based on your team and the items you’ve collected.
Check out the Steam page below for official screenshots and details about the upcoming PC version of Skyship Quest Story. The game supports Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Skyship Quest Story

Who says ships are only for the water? Why not take a voyage across a sea of clouds instead?
On a little island, floating in the sky, your adventure begins…
Embark on an adventure in your brand-new airship and discover what’s beyond the horizon! Assemble your team and journey to unexplored parts of the sky!
You’ll find many different floating islands, ranging from lively vacation spots to dangerous dungeons packed with monsters.
Grow your island, defend against monsters, and support your crew – you’ll be rewarded handsomely for your efforts!
Okay, so as I play, I’m using the stuff I find to upgrade my ship and train my crew. The better my ship and the smarter my crew get, the further I can travel and explore even more islands. It’s a really cool cycle of improvement!
What exciting experiences are just around the corner? The only way to know is to go out and discover them.
It’s time to take off!
▼Game Flow
Start by scouting island residents to join your crew.
Then, set out on adventures together to get Gold and equipment!
Once you’re comfortable with how things work, you can improve your gear and hire more people to help you.
You can also add new facilities to your ship and island.
If you click on a character’s thought bubble, you’ll hear about their problems. Helping them out can unlock new opportunities for you.
With your own ship, you’ll be able to travel and discover the many unique areas of space. Amazing new things are waiting to be found!
▼Battles
Once an enemy shows up, the characters you chose for your team will battle them on their own.
Experiment with different equipment and abilities and figure out what works best!
Rarely, you might encounter battles where you’ll be able to use special commands.
This covers things like firing cannons, teaming up for attacks, and using helpful items in battle. Use these strategies effectively to quickly defeat your enemies!
▼Ship Facilities
Students and staff will live in the cabins, occasionally leaving them to participate in activities throughout the ship.
Position items from the Facilities section close to the cabins. Crew members will interact with these items to gain Knowhow Points.
▼Island Facilities
Islands that have guild halls offer extra building space. You can unlock and use this space to construct new facilities.
Different facilities will allow you to purchase different items.
▼Ending and New Game+
This game is different from our others because it doesn’t have a time limit. Once you fulfill specific requirements, you can complete the game and start a New Game+ to continue playing.
After reaching the guild, you can generate transfer data that allows you to start a new game with your progress carried over. Then, simply begin a new playthrough from the main menu.
Once you join the guild, you can start New Game+ and keep your crew members from your previous game.
