As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for tactical RPGs, I can’t help but feel a rush of excitement upon hearing that Unicorn Overlord has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide! This news is particularly heartening given my own fond memories of Vanillaware’s previous masterpiece, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
It’s been disclosed by Atlus that the strategic RPG titled Unicorn Overlord, developed by Vanillaware, has now exceeded 1 million sales globally. This game was initially launched back in March 2024 across various gaming platforms.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, previously a PlayStation 4 exclusive, had achieved a million sales by August 2023, much like Unicorn Overlord’s recent milestone. This is an interesting comparison given that the Switch port for 13 Sentinels came 18 months after its initial release.
As a tribute, Atlus recently unveiled an exclusive piece of art created by Takashi Noma of Vanillaware, showcasing Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde (as shown below).
