As someone who grew up on Lunchables myself, I can understand why Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast decided to create their own alternative – Lunchly. However, being a parent now, I find myself questioning the nutritional value of these products.
In a recent comment, YouTube personality and practicing family doctor Dr. Mike expressed his view that a significant portion of the criticism directed towards MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI has been unjustified or unfair.
In September 2024, YouTube sensations KSI, Logan Paul, and MrBeast united to launch a new competitor to Lunchables called Lunchly. Designed primarily for children, the lunch packs are advertised as a ‘healthier’ option compared to their competitors and come equipped with a Feastables bar and a bottle of Prime Hydration.
Nevertheless, the influencers’ product was met with overwhelmingly negative feedback. The threesome faced harsh criticism from viewers and critics alike, including DanDTM, who accused the YouTubers of peddling substandard goods to children who may not be aware of the people selling these items to them.
Currently, Doctor Mike has shared his thoughts on the matter – even though he has some reservations about Lunchly’s marketing tactics, he believes that a significant portion of the criticism directed towards the YouTubers might be unwarranted.
In simpler terms, Dr. Mike stated that Lunchly, similar to Lunchables, often falls short of being truly healthier. However, he personally believes that some criticisms leveled against Logan, KSI, and Jimmy are unjustified.
He went on to say, “It’s not necessarily wrong to criticize when they aim to launch an influencer-backed product that aims to succeed. However, if a company genuinely wants to develop a healthier lunch kit for children, I believe the USDA standards should serve as the foundation, rather than a starting point. Otherwise, we risk exacerbating the issue instead of addressing it.

In simpler terms, Doctor Mike pointed out that a single Lunchly pack does not provide enough calories for an average child. He further clarified that a child would require eating roughly 2.7 packages to meet the suggested caloric intake for a typical child’s lunch as recommended by the USDA.
Lunchly’s Turkey Stack ‘Ems have just 230 calories per packet. Eating about three packets would meet a child’s daily calorie requirement, however, they would exceed the recommended daily intake of sodium by 1300mg.
Loghan Paul, KSI, and MrBest have each defended themselves against criticisms about their recent business venture. Specifically, Logan Paul has recently clarified why his new meal delivery service, Lunchly, doesn’t offer fruits like apples or vegetables such as celery sticks or carrots.
He stated that what he’s desired for a long time is an enjoyable lunch. Growing up, Lunchables were a staple, which he openly acknowledges. After all, who among us hasn’t had them? He insists that he wouldn’t peddle something he doesn’t consume himself and can’t imagine relishing a meal of carrot, celery, and apple slices.
