As a seasoned RPG enthusiast with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say, the updates for Tales of Graces f Remastered have me genuinely excited! The skippable cutscenes and skits are a godsend for those of us who’ve played through these games multiple times. And the ability to adjust cursor speed on the world map? Pure bliss!
Bandai Namco recently published an extensive blog post about the upcoming enhancements for Tales of Graces f Remastered, outlining what both fresh and returning players can anticipate. Many of these features were previously unveiled with the remastered version’s announcement at the tail end of last month; however, some specifics have now been further clarified.
Beyond the typical visual enhancements, players will enjoy a swift travel option akin to sprinting, enabling them to traverse exploration areas more quickly. Additionally, users can now speed up or jump over cutscenes at their convenience. Furthermore, if you find yourself falling short in Regular Battles, you’ll have the option to instantly reattempt those encounters following defeat.
One useful improvement is that subtitles have been added to the Mystic Artes during combat, along with subtitles for conversations following battles.
Bandai Namco has made it clear that most of the original game’s downloadable content will be part of the remaster. However, certain DLC content, particularly licensed content, won’t be included in this updated version.
In this updated version, some comedic segments previously only in Japanese will now be accessible in multiple languages, including English. The character Cheria will have Alexis Tipson as her voice in these new, localized scenes, while Laura Bailey continues to voice Cheria for the rest of the previously released game content. The majority of the original English voice cast has returned to reprise their roles in this remastered edition.
On January 17, 2025, the enhanced version of Tales of Graces f titled “Tales of Graces f Remastered” will be available for purchase on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
