Michelle Pfeiffer Joins Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman in Apple TV+ Series ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

As a long-time admirer of Michelle Pfeiffer‘s exceptional acting prowess, I can hardly contain my excitement about her latest role in “Margo’s Got Money Troubles”! With a career spanning over four decades and numerous accolades under her belt, it’s no surprise that she continues to land high-profile roles.

As a passionate movie buff, I’m thrilled to share that Michelle Pfeiffer will be gracing our screens in the forthcoming Apple TV+ series based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” I can hardly wait to see her bring the character to life!

The eight-part television series, initially commissioned by Apple in February following an intense competition across various platforms, has now confirmed the inclusion of Meryl Streep (Pfeiffer) along with previously announced actors Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman.

According to the storyline of the novel, it revolves around Margo Millet (Fanning), a young woman in her 20s who is a single mother and previously the daughter of a Hooters waitress and an ex-pro wrestler. Faced with financial difficulties, she turns to creating an account on OnlyFans. When her father reappears in her life, she applies the principles he learned from professional wrestling to her work on OnlyFans, which brings about unforeseen success.

This is the latest high-profile TV role Pfeiffer has landed in recent months. It was previously reported in August that she is set to star in the Taylor Sheridan series “The Madison” for Paramount. Pfeiffer is primarily known for her film roles, though she has ventured more into TV in the past few years. She recently starred as Betty Ford in the Showtime series “The First Lady.” She also received an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for her work in the HBO film “The Wizard of Lies.” In film, she has been nominated for three Academy Awards — one for “Dangerous Liaisons,” one for “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” and another for “Love Field.” She has also starred in features like “Batman Returns,” “Scarface,” and “White Oleander.”

She is repped by CAA, Entertainment360, Hirsch Wallerstein.

“Margo’s Money Woes” was released in June by William Morrow. David E. Kelley is responsible for writing, producing, and overseeing the adaptation. Fanning, Kidman, and Pfeiffer will not only star but also produce. Brittany Kahan Ward and Dakota Fanning serve as producers through Lewellen Pictures, the Fannings’ production company. Per Saari from Blossom Films, Matthew Tinker from David E. Kelley Productions, and Thorpe are also executive producers. A24 is the production studio.
