The Lord Of The Rings: War Of The Rohirrim Gets A Stunning New Poster For Hobbit Day

As a die-hard Middle-earth enthusiast, steeped in the lore and tales of J.R.R Tolkien’s enchanting universe since my adolescence, I can hardly contain my excitement upon witnessing this latest revelation from Warner Bros. The poster for The War of the Rohirrim not only promises a return to the land of my fantastical dreams but also brings back familiar faces like Miranda Otto as Eowyn and the legendary Brian Cox as Helm Hammerhand. Set 200 years before Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy, this animated feature under the watchful eye of Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell) has the potential to weave an entirely new tapestry within Middle-earth’s rich history.

On the occasion of Hobbit Day, Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled a fresh poster for the upcoming The Lord of the Rings movie titled “The War of the Rohirrim”, its animated adaptation.

The poster shows the character Hera front and center. Voiced by Gaia Wise, Hera is the daughter of Helm Hammerhand (Brian Cox), the ninth king of Rohan. The film is set 200 years before the events of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings series. Jackson is an executive producer on The War of the Rohirrim, which is directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell).

The poster further verifies that the movie carries the tagline “Presented by Peter Jackson,” a move apparently designed to let fans know that the creator of the live-action series is associated with this production as well.

In Middle-earth, the epic saga of the War of the Ring is well known. Yet, 200 years prior to this conflict, another story unfolded. Coming to theaters on December 13: #LOTR The War of the Rohirrim.
