During the course of his Southeast Asia tour, internet sensation IShowSpeed accepted a proposal from an unexpected admirer while he was in Cambodia for his second visit.
Following the Gumball 3000 rally and encountering difficulties with streaming in Singapore, IShowSpeed opted to carry on with his trending Southeast Asia journey by going back to Cambodia for the second phase of his tour.
While streaming live, the YouTube personality engaged with numerous fans and townspeople, even encountering an individual wearing a mask who barked unexpectedly and young riders whizzing by on motorbikes in crowded streets. Yet, one instance particularly caught his attention.
While strolling along the bustling street, someone from the throng of admirers approached him, presenting a modified picture of Keanu Reeves’ character, Speed, portrayed as a woman. The poster read, “Will you marry me?” in a playful proposition.
As a gamer, I found myself in an unexpected situation when someone asked, “Will you marry me?” while trying to give me a ring during my live stream. My initial reaction was surprise and confusion, so I responded, “What on earth are you talking about?” Before I could say more, I took the object from him to have a closer look, but then I quickly set it aside, thinking, “This isn’t part of the game or chat, let me figure out what’s going on here first.

After that, the individual got down on one knee and presented the ring to Speed, who seemed to agree to the proposal by extending his middle finger. He put the ring onto his own finger and attempted to kiss it, causing the 19-year-old to swiftly withdraw his finger and exclaim in surprise: “What in the world?! I’ve got to go! I’m out of here. Absolutely not!
Audience erupted in laughter at the unexpected proposal, as one spectator remarked: “Speed transformed from a gamer into a groom almost instantaneously. It’s clear that Cambodia has some truly devoted followers!
“He extended his finger towards the ring, signifying their wedding. Another commented, ‘Speed has been amassing admirers and marriage proposals across the globe,’ remarked a third.
