McDonald’s reveal two new frappe flavors for fall

As a globetrotting gamer with a penchant for unique culinary experiences, my heart skips a beat every time I hear about exclusive food items that are only available halfway around the world. The latest instance of this global foodie frustration comes from McDonald’s Japan and their tantalizing Autumn offerings – the Apple Caramel Frappe and Grape Frappe.

McDonald’s has introduced two special items this autumn, ideal for the eerie atmosphere of Halloween, but unfortunately, they’re quite hard to find due to their limited availability.

As a devoted fan, when I imagine festive frothy drinks, my thoughts usually drift towards the cherished pumpkin spice delights that only appear during fall from popular chains like Starbucks and Dunkin’. To be honest, McDonald’s isn’t typically the first place I think of when it comes to Autumn beverages.

This year, instead of sticking to the usual routine, the chain is doing something different by introducing two brand-new frappes. These drinks are certain to evoke a warm and snuggly feeling. Unfortunately, if you were eager to taste these upcoming drinks, they’re exclusively available in Japan at the moment.

The overseas branch created a post on social media showcasing the new products, asking customers if they could “Feel Autumn coming” with their new offerings.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve just discovered an exciting lineup of beverages that draw inspiration from time-honored seasonal tastes. These refreshing drinks come in two distinct versions, each offering a unique twist on the classic flavors we all love.

  • Apple Caramel Frappe – Bursting with rich, sweet, tart apple flavors, this one also features black tea extract, along with a generous helping of whipped cream and is topped with decadent caramel sauce.
  • Grape Frappe – This frappe is unique as it’s been made from Kyoho grapes, which are incredibly popular in Japan. Kyoho grapes are particularly sweet in nature, making them the perfect option for a desert-based frappe. This one is loaded with whipped cream and then topped with grape-flavored pearl chocolate to give it an added crunch.

Besides their lineup of beverages, McDonald’s Japan is introducing a Salted Butter Caramel Macaron for snacking as you enjoy their latest drink offerings.

On September 25, these new beverages, known as frappes, will go on sale for a budget-friendly price of around 490 yen, equivalent to about $3.50 in U.S. currency.

Apart from this particular international launch, U.S. McDonald’s enthusiasts have also been experiencing envy over other releases. For instance, earlier in September, Starbucks Japan unveiled a sweet potato-flavored coffee offering.
