Kingmakers, A PC Game About Bringing Guns To A Swordfight, Delayed At The Last Minute

Kingmakers, the much-awaited medieval action-strategy game with a surprising twist – it features AK-47s, grenade launchers, and even attack helicopters – won’t be released on schedule. Redemption Road, the game’s developer, announced a delay just five days before the planned October 8th launch. They’re taking the time needed to polish the game and ensure it’s the best experience possible when it finally arrives.

The game is very ambitious and we’re committed to delivering our full vision,” the studio explained in a statement. “We’d rather take a little extra time to refine the content and ensure it’s polished before we start selling it. We don’t want to rush the release by cutting features, even if it means a slight delay.”

The studio stated they are working to ensure all players are captivated and believe their purchase was worthwhile. “We’re making sure everyone who buys the game is enthralled and feels like their money was well spent,” the studio added.

The developer also mentioned they’re preparing a three-minute “deep dive” video to showcase how Kingmakers is played, and it should be available “very soon.” According to the team, this video will provide a “comprehensive overview of everything we’ve been working on.”

Kingmakers immerses players in a medieval period ravaged by war, but it’s more than just a world of knights and battles. The game explores a fascinating question: how would medieval soldiers fare against modern weaponry, specifically, how many swordsmen would it take to overcome someone armed with an AK-47? Kingmakers sets out to find the answer.

As a huge fan, I was reading the game description, and it says you can use things like assault rifles, shotguns, and even grenade launchers to get the job done. They’ve got all sorts of vehicles too – armored SUVs, bikes, and seriously, attack helicopters! Plus, you can call in air strikes and more, all to make sure this history-changing mission goes off without a hitch.

So far, Kingmakers has been announced only for PC.
