PS5 Pro limited 30th anniversary bundle already driving price gougers mad with $10K offers

As a seasoned PlayStation enthusiast with over two decades of unwavering loyalty to Sony’s gaming empire, I must confess that my heart skips a beat upon witnessing the breathtaking beauty of the 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro bundle. The nostalgic allure of this limited-edition hardware is undeniable, and it’s an instant hit for longtime fans like me.

The unveiling of the PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary equipment has sparked excitement among resellers, with some demanding up to $10,000 for a chance to acquire the restricted PS5 Pro set.

To mark 30 years since the launch of PlayStation, Sony is producing a variety of special edition hardware based on the original PS1 design. This collection includes the recently unveiled PS5 Pro, DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, as well as the PlayStation Portal and an assortment of accessories. All these items will sport the same color palette as the initial hardware, offering a nostalgic feel.

As I gaze upon the iconic PlayStation logo, its original colors gleaming once more, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia. The familiar layout of the controllers with their classic face buttons also brings back memories. This throwback design is clearly striking a chord with long-time fans like me. Initially, there was a lot of buzz around the price of the PS5 Pro, but this refreshed look has made many of us forget our initial complaints.

The anticipation is incredibly high as we approach the start of preorders on September 26. Even before they become available, some unscrupulous individuals are trying to capitalize on this excitement by overpricing their offers, asking for five-figure sums just to try and grab a piece of hardware for another fan.

Although we don’t have information on the number of controllers or Portals that will be manufactured, it’s clear that only a specific quantity of PS5 Pro models will be produced in this classic design. Specifically, only 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro console are being built. Given that there are over 60 million existing PS5 consoles and more being sold daily, owning one of these 12,300 variants is quite rare.

To complicate things further, you can’t purchase the PS5 Pro individually. Instead, it comes as part of a larger bundle, specifically the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle.

Here’s your new gaming system package breakdown:

The specific cost of this bundle hasn’t been set yet, but fans should anticipate a considerable amount due to all the extra features included. The combined price of the standard versions of these items exceeds $1,000, not including the additional special items that come with it.

Before the official launch of the limited package, some have seized the moment to jack up prices significantly higher than what Sony plans to sell at.

“Attempt to buy for you” is the craziest scalping method I’ve ever seen (10K go fuck yourself)

On September 22, a seller on eBay attempted to capitalize on the trend by listing a PS5 Pro bundle for an extraordinary price of $9,999.00. However, it was just an “attempt to purchase” the console, not a guaranteed sale, and the aim was simply to acquire the product.

Hours later, the listing was pulled from eBay as it went against eBay’s User Agreement policies.

This upcoming week promises to be quite busy and eventful for PlayStation enthusiasts. On September 26th, the special 30th anniversary equipment will become available, and moreover, pre-orders for the PS5 Pro are scheduled to begin as well.

As a passionate fan, I’m fully aware that swift opportunists will snatch up items priced way beyond their original value, only to resell them at an exorbitant markup on secondary marketplaces in no time.
