In the story, the character played by Hart is a street-smart hustler known as “Chicken Man,” who organizes an exclusive afterparty for the rich and famous following the fight. However, the night takes a turn with a daring theft. Chicken Man stands accused of orchestrating the crime, but he sets out to prove his innocence, despite facing opposition from his old enemy, J.D. Hudson (portrayed by Cheadle), one of Atlanta’s first Black detectives in a post-segregation police force, who is tasked with solving the case.
On September 5, 2024, the initial three installments of “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” were broadcast, with each subsequent episode airing every Thursday thereafter on Peacock.
