Although the third film hasn’t been released yet, it seems that Art’s career as a writer and director could shine even brighter, as Damien Leone has announced that Terrifier 5 is being developed.
On September 19, 2024, during the Fantastic Fest held in Austin, Texas, the news was shared that Terrifier 4 is indeed happening. This revelation was made by Leone during a Q&A session, where he simply confirmed, “Yes, there will be a Terrifier 4.” Unfortunately, at this time, no further details about the film have been disclosed.
Still, this bodes well for fans of the gruesome horror movie franchise, which boasts some of the most horrifying kills ever put to screen.
Back in 2016, the idea of a fourth movie for the initial slasher film might have seemed unlikely, given its rise as a cult classic. However, with the release of Terrifier 2 in 2022, it managed to become a commercial success, generating sales worth $15 million from an initial budget of just $250,000.
