‘Terrifier 4’ Confirmed by Creator Damien Leone

As a seasoned horror enthusiast with decades of spine-tingling experiences under my belt, the announcement of “Terrifier 4” has sent a shiver down my very core. Having survived countless sleepless nights courtesy of the genre’s most terrifying entities, I can confidently say that Art the Clown ranks among the top contenders for the title of scariest silent killer ever conceived.

Although “Terrifier 3” hasn’t hit theaters just yet, its creator, Damien Leon, the writer and director, has already confirmed his plans for “Terrifier 4.

On Thursday at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, the third movie in the slasher series was released. During a question-and-answer session, Leon confirmed that another film, ‘Terrifier 5’, is indeed in the works, but no additional information was shared.

The franchise initially garnered a devoted fanbase with its debut, but it wasn’t until the sequel that it truly established itself as a horror powerhouse. “Terrifier 2” exceeded predictions significantly, grossing approximately $15 million at the box office. Interestingly, the film’s production cost was significantly lower, amounting to just $250,000.

Regarding “Terrifier 3,” the cast continues with many familiar faces, featuring David Howard Thornton reprising his role as Art the Clown. Additionally, Lauren LaVera takes on Sienna again, Elliot Fullam returns as Jonathan Shaw, Samantha Scaffidi plays Victoria Heyes, and Chris Jericho is back as Burke. These films are notorious for their intense gore, gruesome kill scenes, and exaggerated special effects. The eerie and silent Art the Clown has emerged as a fresh horror legend due to his terrifying presence.

The third installment is set on Christmas Eve night, implying a possible fourth part. Notable newcomers to the cast are Daniel Roebuck known for “Final Destination,” Antonella Rose from “Fear the Walking Dead,” Jason Patric recognized for “The Lost Boys,” and Jon Abrahams, famed from “House of Wax.” Additionally, acclaimed visual effects artist Tom Savini has joined the team behind the scenes.
