The teaser hints at a darker, more mature take on Fisher, which aligns perfectly with Schreiber’s ability to bring depth and nuance to his characters.
Live Schreiber portrays the character Sam Fisher in Netflix’s upcoming anime adaptation of “Splinter Cell.” The streaming platform has released a sneak peek, confirming that Schreiber will provide the voice for Tom Clancy’s renowned stealth expert in the forthcoming series based on Ubisoft’s action video game series. The title for the series was also revealed: “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.
Fisher remarks that darkness can be beneficial. As one adjusts to the dimness, it becomes easier to discern the true nature of harmful individuals. They will remain oblivious to your approach.
In the recently discovered footage, the Fisher appears with a gray beard and looks noticeably older compared to his portrayal in the “Splinter Cell” game series from Ubisoft.
Speculations about Schreiber assuming Fisher’s voice in this project have circulated online for several weeks now, following actor Michael Ironside’s hint during an interview with Monsters, Madness and Magic in June, where he implied that Schreiber might be stepping into the role.
Previously, it was EbMaster who initially announced the collaboration between Netflix and Ubisoft for a “Splinter Cell” anime series in 2020. This project is jointly directed by Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage. Derek Kolstad, famed for writing the initial three “John Wick” movies, serves as both the head writer and executive producer of the animated series. Helene Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gerard Guillemot from Ubisoft Film & Television also act as executive producers. The anime titled “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch” is produced by animation studios Sun Creature and Fost.
