Liquid Demolishes Complexity as Ultimate Shines

As a seasoned gamer with decades of Counter-Strike under my belt, let me tell you, the ESL Pro League Season 20 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! The recent Team Liquid vs. Complexity match, however, was a game for the ages. I’ve seen some impressive performances in my time, but Ultimate’s display on Nuke was simply breathtaking.

For Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans, ESL Pro League Season 20 has been a wild ride, with upsets aplenty and even records being broken, such as the longest map and the most kills in regulation. We’ve also seen some dominating performances that make you gasp, and one of these was the recent Team Liquid vs. Complexity Round of 12 match.

During the ESL Pro League Season 20 Playoffs, Complexity demonstrated their strength in the initial Round of 16, knocking out a favored team, FaZe Clan, with an impressive clean sweep of 2-0 victories. However, in the Round of 12, Team Liquid’s young AWPer, Roland “Ultimate” Tomkowiak, proved too formidable for Complexity, causing them to disintegrate and lose the match.

In the game of Nuke, Team Liquid had an extraordinary beginning on the CT side, leading to a stunning 12-0 score at halftime. Complexity managed to prevent a complete shutout by winning the pistol round in the second half, barely escaping a 13-0 defeat.

In a sweeping victory, Liquid defeated Nuke 13-2 and followed it up by outplaying Complexity 13-7 on Anubis. Across both maps, Complexity managed just 9 rounds in total. A significant portion of Liquid’s triumph can be credited to their exceptional AWPer, who wreaked havoc with the Big Green weapon.

Liquid Demolishes Complexity as Ultimate Shines

In his recent gameplay, Roland “Ultimate” Tomkowiak achieved an impressive ADR of 112.7, boasting a commendable K/D ratio of 40/19, and impressing with a remarkable player rating of 1.79.

The fact that Roland “Ultimate” Tomkowiak, a Polish prodigy, put up such an impressive show in his first S-Tier professional match during BLAST Premier Fall Groups at the end of July 2024, where he outplayed Virtus.pro, underscores his talent and suggests that his victory was not a mere coincidence. It’s now evident that Ultimate at Fall Groups is no fluke and that he truly belongs among the elite on LAN.

Those are just stats, however, so for many, that might not sound incredibly impressive. You can check out the highlights package of Ultimate wrecking Complexity to find out what those stats really mean below.
