‘SNL’ Sets Season 50 Hosts Ariana Grande, John Mulaney, Michael Keaton and More — Plus Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan as Musical Guests

As a long-time admirer of the golden era of comedy and music, I am absolutely thrilled about the stellar lineup for Saturday Night Live’s Season 50! The combination of veteran stars like John Mulaney and Michael Keaton with fresh talents such as Ariana Grande and Nate Bargatze promises an unforgettable journey through laughter and melody.

On the opening week of Season 50, “Saturday Night Live” has announced its initial lineup of hosts, featuring artists like Ariana Grande, John Mulaney, Michael Keaton, among others.

As I eagerly anticipate the commencement of the new season on September 28, I’m thrilled to share that Jean Smart will grace our screens as the opening act, with Jelly Roll providing the musical accompaniment for the evening. Fast forward a week, and on October 5, we have Nate Bargatze stepping into the hosting role, promising an exciting episode filled with songs from the legendary band, Coldplay. Can’t wait!

On October 12th, Ariana Grande is set to return as the host of “Saturday Night Live” for a second time, accompanied by musical guest Stevie Nicks, who last performed on the show back in 1983.

On October 19, Keaton and Billie Eilish are set to drop by Studio 8H, while on October 2, it’s Chappell Roan’s debut on “SNL” as host, with Mulaney presiding over the show.

For the first time as a host, Smart, fresh from her third Emmy victory for the Max comedy “Hacks,” is set to launch the 50th season of the iconic sketch comedy series. Meanwhile, Jelly Roll, who recently graced the Emmys stage, will be showcasing his talent in preparation for the release of his upcoming album, titled “Beautifully Broken,” due out on October 11th.

In the autumn, Bargatze resumes his “Be Funny Tour” and is back on the Saturday Night Live stage following his successful hosting gig in 2023. Coldplay, who will make their 8th appearance as musical guests, are set to join him. Chris Martin and his band will unveil their 10th album, titled “Moon Music,” on October 4.

“Saturday Night Live” airs on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET and streams on Peacock.
