Remnant II lets you drone strike your enemies with new Warden Archetype launching with The Dark Horizon DLC

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of archetypes and classes in various games. However, the latest reveal for Remnant II’s The Warden has truly caught my attention. With its unique blend of defensive and supportive abilities, it’s like they’ve crafted a character tailored just for me – always ready to step in and save the day while keeping the team intact.

This past week, Gunfire Games and Arc Games disclosed additional information on the forthcoming final DLC for Remnant II, titled “The Dark Horizon“. Today, further details and a trailer have been unveiled for the new character type debuting concurrently, dubbed The Warden.

With the release of the latest trailer, specific abilities for the new character type were also revealed. Players have the option to pick among Shield Drone, Heal Drone, and Combat Drone as The Warden’s special skill. The Shield Drone offers continuous protection to a chosen ally, keeping their shields at full until they reach 100%, after which it slightly lessens damage received. The Heal Drone not only restores health to teammates but also increases the speed of Relic Use. Lastly, the Combat Drone functions as a regular combatant, joining the party to directly attack enemies.

On September 24, the sequel to Remnant, titled “Remnant II: The Dark Horizon,” is set to release on PC via Steam, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Here’s a list of some of the new Archetype’s abilities:

Main Advantage: Dynamic Regeneration – The main advantage, “Dynamic Regeneration,” provides players with an automatic recovery of their Shield and significantly enhances the base N’Erudian Energy Reserve for both the Drone and Turret. If you’re aiming to combine two Archetypes with the Warden, the Engineer is an ideal match since it will provide your Turret with a nice energy boost due to this Prime Perk.

Ability: Guardian Drone – The Warden showcases their hidden asset exceptionally well with the aid of their Drone companion. Players have three options for this drone: Defensive, Healing, or Offensive. In the Defensive mode, when activated, the Drone provides a shield to the chosen ally until they reach full health and slightly lessens the damage taken by them.

Ability: Tending Drone – The Warden can release a Restorative Drone that gradually restores an ally’s health up until they are fully healed, and simultaneously, it provides a Speed Boost for Relic Usage. If your aim is to maintain your own or an ally’s survival while enhancing the efficiency of your Relics, then the Healing Drone proves to be ideal.

Skill: Combat Drone – Last but not least, when it’s time to go all out and guns blazing, there’s the Combat Drone. Designed to be a constant offensive presence, an energized Combat Drone attacks any threat near the selected ally.

Enhancing the Warden’s repertoire is the Archetype Trait: Barrier. This special trait amplifies the power of shields used by the Warden. In other words, when the Warden uses shields to protect allies, they also gain the same protective benefits. When constructing a Shield-focused build, the Barrier trait is indispensable.
