Xbox Game Pass Adds 3 Free Games This Weekend

Xbox Game Pass is giving its members free access to three games this weekend – definitely worth checking out! The service already includes a huge library of games, with new titles added every month. Recently, a beautiful open-world game was even released directly onto Game Pass. And beyond those regular additions, Game Pass sometimes offers games for a limited time at no extra cost.

Each weekend, Xbox Game Pass members get to try out new games that aren’t usually included in the standard Game Pass library. These are full games, not just trial versions, but access is only available for a limited time. The newest selection of free weekend games was recently announced on the official Xbox Wire blog, detailing which games are available and when players can enjoy them.

Xbox Game Pass members can play three games for free from May 14th to May 17th: Battlefield 6, Bassmaster Fishing, and JDM: Japanese Drift Master. This free play opportunity is available to all Game Pass members – whether you have an Essential, Premium, or Ultimate subscription – with no extra cost. You can download each game individually from the Microsoft Store using your membership.

The list highlights all three games featured in Free Play Days this weekend:

  • Battlefield 6
  • Bassmaster Fishing
  • JDM: Japanese Drift Master

Just a heads-up: after May 17th, you’ll need to buy these games if you want to keep playing, as the free trial period will end. But the good news is they’re currently on sale at the Microsoft Store, so if you had fun with any of them, you can get them at a discounted price as an Xbox Game Pass perk.

If you’re not excited about these games, don’t worry – there are still plenty of free options available in the game catalog. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will soon have access to Forza Horizon 6, which could be a good alternative to JDM: Japanese Drift Master. Plus, a highly-rated new game launched on Xbox Game Pass just a few days ago, and it’s already being talked about as a potential Game of the Year contender.

Even the smaller Essential game library has some fantastic titles, including Vampire Survivors and Dead Cells, among others. Free Play Days are a good way to try out new games, but Xbox Game Pass always offers a wide selection too.
