For this upcoming Week 3 of the 2024-2025 NFL season, we’ll use Madden 25 to see which teams it predicts will emerge victorious. In its previous predictions, Madden 25 had a 10-6 record last week and a total of 21 wins against 11 losses since Week 1. Will it keep on being accurate in its forecasts? New England Patriots vs. New York Jets – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

On Aaron Rodgers and the Jets’ offense, it wasn’t a day full of grand moments, but they managed to unite in overtime. For most of the first half, they were behind 6-0, but Breece Hall rallied the team with a 20-yard touchdown run to take their initial lead. The Jets added two more field goals to their tally, however, they could not pull ahead by more than a single score.

Jacoby Brissett threw a touchdown pass to TE Hunter Henry with four minutes remaining, but neither team could advance past midfield for the remainder of the game. However, in overtime, Aaron Rodgers rallied and connected with Allen Lazard for a 36-yard touchdown. The Jets managed to edge their divisional rival, ending the game 2-1.

New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

In Week 2, the Giants managed only three field goals during the first half against Cleveland, having scored three touchdowns in the previous week. The Browns also struggled, as Deshaun Watson threw two interceptions and failed to score any touchdowns. Instead, it was Running Back Jerome Ford who took charge, scoring a total of three touchdowns. Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

Initially, Caleb Williams pledged to enhance his performance, and he indeed delivered – during the opening drive. He managed an impressive streak of four successful passes, propelling the Bears steadily downfield. Halfback D’Andre Swift eventually scored a 9-yard touchdown run, giving hope that the Bears were off to a strong start. Regrettably, they failed to find the end zone again for the remainder of the game. Instead, they had to settle for three field goals following two additional red zone opportunities later on.

As an ardent fan, I’ve got to say, Anthony Richardson had his moments, but it was Johnathan Taylor who truly stole the show! Despite completing just 58% of his passes and running the ball only 7 times for 53 yards, Anthony played efficiently enough. On the other hand, Johnathan Taylor ran a staggering 29 times, amassing an impressive 177 yards and scoring a touchdown in our victorious game. His efficiency gave us command over Time of Possession, making us the clear dominators on the field.

In a turnaround, the Colts secure their inaugural victory of the season, marking the first instance where Caleb Williams’ performance dips below a 50% winning record in his NFL career.

Houston Texans vs. Minnesota Vikings – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

As a fervent supporter, I’d express it like this: In the chilly climes of Minnesota, CJ Stroud kicked off the game with a blazing start for the Texans! By the end of the first quarter, he’d thrown two stunning touchdown passes, one to Nico Collins and another to Stefon Diggs. On the other side, Sam Darnold and the Vikings struggled to make their mark, barely reaching the red zone twice throughout the entire game.

Despite the Texans’ offense losing momentum later in the game, they effectively consumed time with a productive ground attack.

Houston begins the season 3-0 in what looks to be a promising year for DeMeco Ryans.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New Orleans Saints – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

If you caught the Eagles versus Falcons game last night, you may find the current score hard to believe. Yet, keep in mind that Madden 25 doesn’t account for Philadelphia’s recent setbacks. Still, it thinks the team can turn things around after a disappointing defeat.

Despite consistently reaching the end zone throughout the current season, it wasn’t until the second quarter that the Saints managed to score a touchdown. On the other hand, the Eagles racked up 20 points during the first half, all without A.J. Brown on the field.

Towards the start of the fourth quarter with a score of 27-10 against them, the Saints’ offense eventually came alive, but it was already too much to catch up. To add salt to injury, the Eagles added two more field goals during drives designed to drain time, increasing their lead further. Ultimately, the Eagles clinched victory with a score of 33-25, marking the first loss for the Saints in the season.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

Despite the Steelers’ quarterback predicament remaining uncertain, we elected to initiate Justin Fields in our lineup. Although he had a commendable performance (completing 16 out of 28 passes for 224 yards and scoring two touchdowns), he couldn’t convert on the team’s last drive of the game. Despite taking a 21-13 lead after initially trailing 10-0, things turned sour in the latter stages of the match.

In the closing stages of the third quarter, Justin Herbert connected with Quentin Johnston for a 10-yard touchdown pass. Yet, he failed to find him on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt. Despite this, Los Angeles scored twice more through field goal drives, taking the lead. Nonetheless, even with a slim four-point advantage, it appeared that Pittsburgh was still in position to secure victory.

Regrettably, the Steelers’ offense failed to convert a pivotal 4th & 3 from the Chargers’ 18-yard line, resulting in a third victory for Los Angeles. This marked Pittsburgh’s initial loss of the season.

Denver Broncos vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

Positive update for Broncos supporters: Bo Nix managed to score a touchdown, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen until the fourth quarter, following his throw of three interceptions. On the other hand, Baker Mayfield had an impressive performance, finishing 19 out of 25 passes for 273 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Cade Otton all reached the end zone as Mayfield distributed the ball effectively.

Perhaps it’s time for the Broncos to consider benching Nix to give the rookie some time to develop.

Carolina Panthers vs. Las Vegas Raiders – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

In an exciting clash between top performers Andy Dalton and Gardner Minshew, the Raiders narrowly emerged victorious from this thrilling duel, often referred to as a “shootout”. Humor aside, this matchup was truly engaging with numerous score changes. Trailing 13-7, Minshew connected with Davante Adams for a significant 39-yard touchdown. Carolina responded by scoring a field goal, taking a 16-14 lead.

However, Minshew effectively directed his team during their final drive, culminating in Daniel Carlson’s match-winning field goal with just 37 seconds left on the clock. As a result, the Raiders kick off their season with a 2-1 record, while Carolina suffers their first defeat under Andy Dalton.

Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

In this game, Skylar Thompson found it tough against Seattle’s robust defense, limiting Miami to only six points. Although their offense wasn’t particularly outstanding, Seattle’s defense successfully forced two turnovers. Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

In a marked improvement following a disappointing performance versus the Saints, the Cowboys’ offense secured a victory against the Baltimore Ravens. Conversely, the Ravens’ offense displayed significant improvement compared to their performance last week. However, it was a sluggish second quarter that ultimately hindered the Ravens. Leading 14-7 at the end of the first, they were outscored 17-3 in the second quarter, allowing Dallas to take a 24-17 lead.

In a tight matchup, Jackson’s team didn’t make it to the end zone during their final possession. This defeat marked the start of the Ravens’ season with a 0-3 record. Meanwhile, the Cowboys improved to 2-1, competing fiercely with Philadelphia for leadership in the NFC East division.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

With Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey absent, the 49ers’ offense found it challenging against their division opponents. However, it’s important to note that the Rams were missing their leading receiver, Cooper Kupp, as well. Yet, Matthew Stafford managed to deliver a solid performance despite his top wideout’s absence. Furthermore, Blake Corum showed improvement over last week, rushing 15 times for 55 yards and scoring a touchdown.

In the first half, Brock Purdy managed to score a touchdown for his team but also threw an interception that was taken back to the San Francisco 14-yard line. Despite this, the Rams added more points to their tally, leading 17-7 at halftime. However, San Francisco responded by scoring 14 consecutive points, bringing the score to 24-21 in their favor. In the final moments, with just 0:29 left on the clock, the Rams successfully converted a field goal.

The 49ers begin the year 1-2 while the Rams win their first game of the year.

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

From my perspective as a die-hard fan, both teams showcased impressive offense in the first half, racking up an impressive 38 points collectively. But, things cooled down considerably in the second half, with only 20 combined points scored. Nevertheless, the Lions had the upper hand throughout the game and clinched a comfortable win, maintaining a two-possession lead. Jared Goff stepped up his game this time around, delivering two touchdowns and over 290 yards.

David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs remain a potent pair for their team, amassing a collective 186 yards from scrimmage on 32 touches, scoring two touchdowns in the process. This victory boosts the Lions’ record to 2-1, allowing them to recover from their defeat at the hands of Tampa Bay.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Atlanta Falcons – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

Almost overcame the Chiefs, who appeared to excel only during the second and fourth quarters. Yet, Atlanta failed to capitalize on multiple chances to widen their gap. For instance, in the third quarter they opted for a field goal instead of attempting a touchdown when they had 4th & goal at the KC 2-yard line. Later, they chose to punt rather than go for it during 4th & 1 at the KC 39 in the fourth quarter.

In my opinion, what really took the wind out of my sails was Kirk Cousins tossing an interception in the red zone just before halftime. It seemed like the Falcons were losing this game more due to our own mistakes, rather than the Chiefs actually winning it. Regardless, Mahomes and his team are off to a 3-0 start for the season.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

In a thrilling game, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills managed to keep the Jacksonville Jaguars from mounting a comeback, starting their season at 3-0. Trevor Lawrence found it challenging against the Bills’ defense, resulting in two interceptions during their defeat. On the other hand, Josh Allen had an impressive outing. He passed for 285 yards and ran six times for 37 yards. Additionally, he scored three touchdowns in the win.

With just over a minute left on the clock, the Jaguars managed to score a touchdown, bringing the score to 31-23. Unfortunately, they failed to convert the extra point, making their situation even more precarious. Despite this setback, there was still hope for a comeback. Regrettably, they missed the attempt to recover the onside kick and ended up starting the season with three losses.

Washington Commanders vs. Cincinnati Bengals – NFL Week 3 Results According to Madden 25

At last, in the concluding match of the week, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals notched their inaugural victory for the season. Nonetheless, the team’s performance was somewhat unstable until the final quarter. Intriguingly, the Bengals found themselves trailing 21-20 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Jayden Daniels has been performing consistently, but he had trouble holding onto the lead towards the end. In total, he completed 17 out of 26 passes for a total of 203 yards, and ran the ball 5 times for an additional 26 yards.
