As a seasoned gamer with memories of countless epic battles and victories etched into my gaming memory, the news about Overwatch 2 hitting Game Pass has sent a wave of excitement coursing through me! I’ve been playing this game since its inception, and to see it now available on Game Pass, complete with exclusive skins that would make any collector drool, is like striking gold.
Currently, one of the most popular hero shooter games ever made, Overwatch 2, can now be played on Game Pass. To entice Overwatch 2 gamers from other platforms to switch over to Game Pass, Activision Blizzard is providing some appealing incentives. Among these rewards are new costumes for several beloved characters in the game.
Through the main Overwatch website, gamers merely need to connect their Battle.net profiles with active Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass for Console, or PC Game Pass accounts. As a reward, they’ll receive access to six exclusive skins: Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver.
Extra benefits are offered, such as a selection of cosmetics from Overwatch 2 Seasons 9-11, plus a 10% XP increase to expedite players’ advancement in competitive ranks. This advantage is cumulative with any existing boosts on their account, but it’s only valid while the linked Xbox Game Pass accounts are active and associated with Battle.net accounts.
From today until November 11th, Activision Blizzard is providing these incentives exclusively. If you connect your Overwatch 2 account after this date, you might miss out, unless they announce further rewards later on.
In contrast to its predecessor, which was a paid game, Overwatch 2 has transitioned to a free-to-play model, meaning it can be accessed without an upfront cost. The original Overwatch, which was initially a paid game, has been converted into Overwatch 2 and is no longer available for separate purchase.
