As someone who has been following the New World saga since its initial release last year, I am genuinely excited about the launch of the open beta for New World: Aeternum! The promise of a revamped game with fresh content and improvements is music to my ears.
For those intrigued by New World: Aeternum, the optimized base game edition, its open beta officially started today! It’s accessible to all for a complimentary test drive. The trials are occurring on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 platforms. They will continue until September 16th.
Throughout the course of play, your character’s progression reaches a cap at level 30. Additionally, you can anticipate a variety of activities and entertainment along the way.
- arena – 3 on 3 player PvP mode, the perfect place for combat training;
- Amrine Excavations – a group expedition (equivalent of a dungeon) for 5 people;
- mounts;
- factions – we can join one of the three available (Covenant, Syndicate, and Marauders) and complete special tasks that raise our rank in its ranks;
- Influence races – PvP mode in which we fight against enemy factions and take over influence towers.
Participants in the test may anticipate special perks, like titles or equipment, contingent on their attained levels. However, it’s important to note that when the beta concludes, any progress you make will be erased.
Remind yourself that “New World”, an MMORPG launched by Amazon in 2021, attracted a massive player base on its debut day. However, the initial excitement soon faded as it turned out that the core gameplay was quite monotonous and repetitive, and the game experienced many bugs and exploits. The developers failed to regain players, but there’s hope that the updated version of the game might address these issues.
