Devs of Life-Sim in the Lord of the Rings Universe Have Some Bad News for All Hobbits; Tales of the Shire Delayed

As a seasoned gamer with a hearty love for all things Middle-earth, I must confess my anticipation for “Tales of the Shire” has been growing like a hobbit’s second breakfast. The postponement from late 2024 to early 2025, while disappointing, is but a minor blip on the grand journey that lies ahead.

Unfortunately, there’s a delay in the release of “Tales of the Shire” for all hobbits out there. Studio Weta Workshop has moved its premiere from the end of 2024 to the start of 2025. This update was shared on their social media platforms, including X.

In a twist on typical life simulators, recreating a habitat in the world depicted by J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels is an unusual concept. Despite its uniqueness, the game has sparked curiosity among many players. However, those eager to build their own hobbit homes should be prepared for a dose of patience.

On September 22nd, we’ll not only unveil the new release date, but also gain further insights about the upcoming production titled “Tales of the Shire.” The Weta Workshop team is set to present a stream named “Hobbit Day Showcase” on that day, honoring the official Hobbit Day commemoration. This special day marks the birthdates of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.
