CS2 Kill Record Broken Again, This Time By Swedish Youngster

As a seasoned CS:GO fan with years of gaming under my belt, I must say, the recent feats in CS2 esports have left me utterly astounded! The record-breaking performances we’ve witnessed in just a matter of weeks are nothing short of extraordinary. From Danil “donk” Kryshkovets to Alex “poi” Sundgren, these young talents are setting new standards for the gaming world.

In September, there was some thrilling Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports competition unfolding. At the ESL Pro League Season 20, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets set a new kills record (38) in regulation on Anubis, while Fnatic and M80 established a long map record…Now, just a few days later, a 17-year-old Swedish player for EYEBALLERS has surpassed donk’s previously mentioned record.

At the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 2 tournament, the team EYEBALLERS squared off against Zero Tenacity. Although EYEBALLERS ultimately fell short with a score of 2-1, their victory on the map Anubis was nothing short of impressive, as Alex “poi” Sundgren notched an astonishing 39 kills in the regular gameplay.

In essence, since the competition was held online, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets retains the LAN record, while Alex “poi”ii Sundgren holds both the overall and the online records. The HLTV map statistics page highlights an extraordinary display, featuring an ADR of 147.3, 39 kills, and a player rating of 2.31.

Congratulations to 17-year-old sensation @poiiixd for shattering the previous world record with an impressive 39 kills in regulation! 🎉 What a prodigious talent! 🔥

If you’re unaware, the gaming team EYEBALLERS was established by two veteran Fnatic players, Jesper “JW” Wecksell and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist. Although they’ve retired, their skill in fragging remains impressive, so it doesn’t come as a shock to me that someone from EYEBALLERS is already breaking records.

It’s highly improbable that the longstanding record for most kills in a single Counter-Strike match will be surpassed, as it was set during the CS:GO era when kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke achieved 47 kills on Mirage. Given that CS:GO has 30 rounds compared to CS2’s 24, the odds of breaking this record are virtually negligible.
