Ana de Armas Teases "Sexy" And "Dangerous" John Wick Movie, Trailer Coming Soon

As a seasoned gamer and action-movie enthusiast with over two decades under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming spin-off of the John Wick franchise – Ballerina. Ana de Armas‘ recent updates at the Toronto International Film Festival have only fueled my anticipation. The reshoots she mentioned are usually a cause for concern, but hearing that they added significant value to the film and made it “spectacular” has me eagerly counting down the days.

Ana de Armas talked about the upcoming John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, during the Toronto International Film Festival, where she also showcased her film Eden. In an interview with Collider, de Armas spoke positively about recent reshoots for Ballerina, calling them an unexpectedly good change.

According to de Armas, whenever they mention reshoots, it’s not a positive sign. She doesn’t feel great about it, but she emphasized that these additional filming sessions significantly improved the movie. She explained that everything filmed during those reshoots was essential and resulted in fantastic footage that is truly spectacular. Furthermore, she confirmed that a trailer for Ballerina is coming soon, and she found it stunning, expressing her pride in it.

Speaking about the film, Ana de Armas highlighted its resemblance to the John Wick series by using words like “thrilling,” “edgy,” and “seductive.” She said, “It’s truly captivating. It’s got that dangerous, seductive vibe, it’s very much in the vein of John Wick. I believe audiences will be pleasantly surprised.

Between John Wick: Chapter 3 and John Wick: Chapter 4, the movie titled “Ballerina” will be released. In this film, Armas plays Rooney, an assassin out for vengeance against those who wronged her family. Keanu Reeves, along with recurring actors Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick (who sadly passed away), will reprise their roles as John Wick. New additions to the cast include Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and David Castañeda. Len Wiseman is set to direct “Ballerina,” which is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.

According to an August report, the development of John Wick: Chapter 5 continues. Moreover, it was earlier mentioned that a standalone film focusing on Donnie Yen’s character, Caine, is in the works.
