Having traversed countless virtual worlds and battled an array of fantastical creatures, I can’t help but feel a kinship with our hero, Doug – a high school student thrust into interstellar peril.
As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but share my excitement over the latest trailer unveiled by United Label and Sam Enright for the “retro-futuristic adventure-RPG” titled Beyond Galaxyland! This sneak peek offers a captivating insight into the gameplay mechanics and intriguing systems that make up this title. The footage provides tantalizing glimpses of the diverse planets players will explore, along with demonstrations of how battles unfold in this extraordinary universe.
According to its announcement, Beyond Galaxyland places players in the role of Doug, an ordinary high school student who accidentally enters a wormhole just as Earth and humanity are destroyed by a catastrophic alien entity. Stranded in the Galaxyland system, Doug embarks on a galactic journey not only to return home but also to find a means to undo the destruction and save his planet.
In Doug’s adventure, he’ll meet several exotic alien lifeforms, some of whom will join his side as allies. The combat is structured in turns and players are given a set number of Action Points to utilize before they must conclude their turn. Galaxyland: Beyond offers the opportunity for players to seize almost any creature within the game, including bosses, to deploy them in future skirmishes. Summoned creatures may offer beneficial boosts, while more elusive adversaries could grant players a powerful special attack when summoned.
