Actor Andrew Garfield, who was nominated for an Oscar, has addressed speculation about his return as Spider-Man in the upcoming Sony Pictures and Marvel film.
In an interview with IndieWire, Garfield was cryptic about his involvement in the upcoming Spider-Man film, much like he was when asked repeatedly about being in Spider-Man: No Way Home years prior. However, as we now know, Garfield did indeed appear in No Way Home alongside Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland. Regarding the next Spider-Man movie, Garfield suggested that people should be wary of what they read online.
In essence, Garfield was implying that the internet is vast, and it seems many individuals merely utter things to attract attention. As such, there’s a chance you may have fallen for a misleading statement.
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to share that, in July, Marvel honcho Kevin Feige revealed the upcoming Spider-Man film is currently being scripted, with a draft expected “soonish.” Fueling the excitement, whispers have been swirling about Andrew Garfield potentially reprising his role alongside Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland – a trio that could recreate their unique web-slinging dynamic from No Way Home.
In April, Holland himself expressed thoughts about the continuation of the series. He mentioned that a group of top-tier professionals are presently brainstorming concepts for “potential future stories” in another movie. Holland emphasized his caution in preserving the reputation of the series.
