Three years after the happenings of Season 1, where four ordinary high-schoolers adjusted to life at a magic school and challenged the illogical aspects of mystical education, Season 2 follows Evan, K, Sam, and Jammer as they navigate young adulthood. Each character is grappling with their future decisions, all while dealing with a looming magical crisis that endangers their existence and relationships. In that trailer, Iyengar consistently explores the boundaries of what a Game Master can achieve in visual storytelling. At one instance, a dynamic and interactive face appears on a tablet called Tabby, enabling a Non-Player Character to communicate with the other players. It seems like Zac Oyama, another regular in Dimension 20, provides the voice for Tabby
Previously, Iyengar orchestrated a narrative within the dome that featured Burrow’s End (a cast including Mulligan and Ishii). The last time she did this was when she battled against the combat-focused structure of D&D 5e to create an exceptional story. I’m eagerly anticipating her upcoming work with Misfits and Magic, as it adopts the more character-driven tabletop system known as Kids on Brooms
In this upcoming Dimension 20 adventure, we will see Iyengar, Mulligan, Ishii, and Wilson together for the first time since they started their self-produced podcast, Worlds Beyond Number. Since then, their camaraderie and gameplay skills have grown tremendously, making me excited to witness their interactions on camera. The addition of Danielle Radford, who brought constant humor as Anastasia Tension in Mentopolis, promises an even funnier experience
