Looks Like Trump’s Team Couldn’t Get the Trump Movie Dumped

As a movie enthusiast, I’m excited about the upcoming release of “The Apprentice,” a biopic starring Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn. This film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on October 11, following screenings at some fall film festivals. There seems to be an intense awards campaign in the works for this movie.

In a statement to the Associated Press on Friday, Trump’s campaign communications director, Steven Cheung, asserted that the release of the film in October is similar to “interference by Hollywood aristocrats just before November’s election.” He referred to the show The Apprentice as “blatant slander” and stated it doesn’t deserve a spot even in the cheapest DVD section at an upcoming closing discount movie store. Instead, he suggested that it belongs in a fire pit, acknowledging that it could potentially gain traction on the internet, but we’ll have to wait and see.
