As a seasoned Guardian who’s traversed through countless realms and dimensions, I must say that Xur’s new approach to business in The Final Shape is nothing short of intriguing! His transformation from a mysterious peddler to a vendor with a reputation track and loyalty program is quite the evolution.
This weekend, Xur returns in Destiny 2, with Act 3 of Episode: Echoes underway. It’s always a good idea to stop by the arms dealer. As expected, you can grab some newly minted rolls of Exotic equipment – perhaps one will complement the new Exotic weapon Choir of One – along with Legendary-class armor and various useful items for farming Strange Coins until Exotic class items become available again. Here’s where Xur is located this week and what he has on offer.
This week, Xur provides the catalysts for the Exotic weapons Huckleberry and Trinity Ghoul, as well as the Exotic armor options Celestial Nighthawk (for Hunters), Severance Enclosure (for Titans), and Crown of Tempests (for Warlocks). If you’re in search of Exotic weapons, Xur currently has Hawkmoon, Arbalest, Hard Light, The Prospector available. Additionally, Xur offers Exotic Class Items once more this week.
Xur Location
Begin at the Tower and take a turn to the right after Banshee-44. Proceed down the steps, follow the hallway, and when you reach the Bazaar, veer right into the adjacent alleyway. You’ll discover Xur in his designated nook here, prepared to offer his fresh merchandise if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. For information on acquiring this currency, refer to our guide on earning it, which involves performing ceremonial tasks.

Exotic Armor
Essentialism / Solipsism / Stoicism (Exotic class item)
1) To purchase what Xur offers, you must have finished Duality first; just uncovering the mission isn’t sufficient.
Celestial Nighthawk (Exotic Hunter helmet)
A classic from Destiny 2’s first year, Celestial Nighthawk lets you fire one single high-damage shot from the Golden Gun Super instead of three. You can reduce the cooldown of your Super pretty quickly with this Exotic, and it works very nicely with the Still Hunt Exotic sniper rifle, even after a recent nerf. The stats on this helmet are weird, as it has low resilience, strength, and discipline, while recovery is almost maxed out. Intellect is also high, so if you’re going all in on the Super-centric nature of this helmet, it could be a good one to grab this week.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 7
- Recovery: 25
- Discipline: 8
- Intellect: 19
- Strength: 2
- Total: 64
Severance Enclosure (Exotic Titan chest armor)
Like the best Titan Exotics, Severance Enclosure enhances your punching ability with some explosive firepower. As long as you have a charged melee, you can detonate your fist against anything that gets in your way. Strength and discipline are pretty good on this roll, recovery is average, and resilience could be better as mobility is unnecessarily high on this Exotic. It’s not an entirely bad version of the chest armor, and because Xur seldom stocks it, it’s worth grabbing now as it still has plenty of potential.
- Mobility: 14
- Resilience: 6
- Recovery: 12
- Discipline: 19
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 12
- Total: 65
Crown of Tempests (Exotic Warlock helmet)
This helmet, while not particularly attractive in Destiny, becomes quite useful when paired with an Arc subclass. It extends the duration of your Stormtrance Super and hastens the recharge of your Arc abilities upon afflicting enemies with them or jolts. It synergizes well with the Prismatic class too, helping you quickly recharge your Super. Although its stats are a bit scattered, it provides high resilience and strength. However, recovery needs improvement, while discipline is average; mobility takes a hit due to points being diverted from these categories.
- Mobility: 17
- Resilience: 16
- Recovery: 3
- Discipline: 10
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 15
- Total: 67

In the new format of his business within “The Final Shape”, Xur now offers two rotating choices for Exotic weapon catalysts weekly. These selections will feature older catalysts that were previously found via random drops before The Witch Queen expansion, excluding those tied to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, and dungeon Exotics.
1. Alongside Hawkmoon, Xur will offer three different Exotic weapons for purchase randomly. He continues to stock Legendary armor and weapons, as well as engrams that may contain any item from those pools at random. Similar to other vendors, Xur now has a reputation system – the more you spend, the more rewards you’ll earn, including an Exotic Cipher after each rank reset.
Moreover, after accumulating 47 Strange Coins in Xur’s shop, his loyalty program activates, providing you with a Strange Favor boost. This boost lasts for 11 days and can be accumulated up to three times, once a week, allowing you extra chances to earn additional Strange Coins from activities that reward the currency. Xur appears in Destiny 2 every weekend, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time or 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
