Reka - Console (Xbox, Switch, PS5, PS4) Release

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Reka piques my interest. The prospect of delving into the world of Baba Jaga and helping lost souls while gathering herbs and building a home is tantalizingly appealing. However, as a console enthusiast who has seen many promising indie games falter on the transition to our beloved platforms, I find myself both excited and cautiously optimistic about Reka’s future.

In the near future, there’s an intriguing indie game titled Reka that lets you assume the role of a witch. If you’re curious about the mysteries surrounding the renowned Baba Yaga, this could be just the game for you. You’ll have the chance to guide lost spirits, uncover different herbs, and even construct your own dwelling. The game will debut on PC on September 12th. As for consoles, we’ll have to wait and see.

Reka – Console (Xbox, Switch, PS5, PS4) Release

Currently, the game is planned for release only on PC. In their FAQ on the official Discord server, developers mentioned they aim to support Steam Deck during early access. As for other consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, it remains unclear whether the game will be released there. However, controller support is definitely on their list of planned features.

Indeed, it’s reasonable to anticipate this eventuality. The success of the game on Steam is key here. If the game gains enough popularity and there’s a significant demand, it’s likely that we’ll see it on consoles eventually, though not immediately. This might occur after the early access phase, which can stretch out quite long in certain instances, as suggested by the current estimate of the game being in EA for most of 2024 (with a release date in September). Given this timeline, we could expect the early access period to extend into at least part of 2025.
