As a huge Demon Slayer fan, I’m so excited to share some news! We’re getting the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — Infinity Castle arc on Blu-ray and DVD! The official word is it’ll be released in Japan on July 29th, and even better, pre-orders kick off on April 18th. We only have about three months to wait, which honestly feels like forever, but I’m already planning my pre-order!
Fans can now see the cover art for the special Japanese Blu-ray and DVD release! It features Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka. The set also includes a high-quality three-sided case, disc packaging with unique artwork created by Akira Matsushima (the character designer and animation director for Demon Slayer), and a bonus CD featuring the movie’s soundtrack in stereo.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Home Release Date Points to a Closer Streaming Release
While there’s no official confirmation yet, this news significantly increases the chances of the movie becoming available for streaming. Fans have been eagerly requesting a streaming option for almost a year, but Infinity Castle has repeatedly had its time in theaters extended.
The film’s theatrical run has now concluded, with the official announcement made in March. To give fans a final reason to see it in theaters, collectible illustration cards were released during the last two weeks it was showing.
The anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — Infinity Castle premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, and quickly became the year’s biggest anime hit. Before its release in the United States in September, the movie had already earned hundreds of millions of dollars and shattered box office records.
The movie Infinity Castle earned over $781 million in theaters worldwide, despite only costing $20 million to make. It also set new records, becoming the highest-grossing international film in the United States.
Adding to its success, Infinity Castle has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both critics and viewers. Currently, the film holds a 98% approval rating from critics and a 98% rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, based on over 60 reviews from critics and more than 10,000 reviews from general viewers.
There’s more Demon Slayer on the way, with two upcoming movies planned to conclude the entire series. These films will wrap up the story, and fans who want to see how everything ends will need to watch them.
