Hunger Games actor arrested after shooting at multiple people

Ethan Jamieson, known for his role in The Hunger Games, was arrested in March after allegedly shooting three people in Raleigh, California.

The series began in 2012 with Jennifer Lawrence playing Katniss Everdeen, a teenager in a troubled future world who is compelled to fight for her life in a brutal competition against representatives from different regions.

The Hunger Games movies have earned more than $3 billion worldwide, and a new film, Sunrise on the Reaping, is coming out this year. It will tell the story of a young Haymitch Abernathy, played by Woody Harrelson, before the events of the main series.

The popular film series is now making headlines for a troubling reason: an actor who appeared in the first movie has been arrested and accused of attempted murder.

Ethan Jamieson played a District 4 tribute in The Hunger Games

Ethan Jamieson was arrested on March 22nd after allegedly shooting at three people in a car while he was riding an e-bike. According to a Raleigh Police Department spokesperson, officers responded to a report that someone on an e-bike had fired a shot at a vehicle while it was being driven.

There were two other people in the car when the shooting happened. Detectives determined that Ethan Jamieson, 27, fired one shot at the victims’ vehicle.

Based on the charges and reports, it appears no one was seriously injured or killed in the shooting. The Raleigh Police Department has not yet shared any information about why Jamieson opened fire.

In 2012, the 27-year-old actor played Bravura, a character from District 4, alongside Jennifer Lawrence in the original Hunger Games film.

I remember seeing Jamieson in a bunch of scenes early on, just part of the crowd of tributes. It was pretty shocking when Cato just straight-up killed him during that opening fight – it happened so fast! He and Rue were definitely the youngest of us all, which made it even sadder to watch him go down like that.
